Materials:

• 4.5mm (#7) crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge as listed below)
• 170-670m (185-735yds) DK/8 ply/Light Worsted Weight yarn, with detailed amounts in size section.
• A small amount of contrasting yarn for trim, if desired.
• 3-5 15mm buttons (depending on jacket size made)
• Tapestry needles to weave in yarn ends

Special Stitches - Inc: increase - 1tr, 1dtr, 1tr all in same stitch, therefore increasing 2 stitches and making a peaked corner for raglan shaped sleeves. Gauge/Tension: 15tr and 8 rows tr = 10cm If you have more stitches, use a larger hook. If you have less stitches, use a smaller hook.

Sizes: based on chest measurement, finished jacket is a little bigger, with some positive ease. For best fit, select size according to the child's chest measurement rather than age. Approximate yarn amounts listed beside each size:
